Fine jewellery care requires an expert eye. To ensure the absolute best outcome for your piece, we follow a transparent, protective assessment process for every commission we undertake.
Step 1: Get in Touch First
To protect your jewellery, please do not post any items to our workshop without prior written authorisation and instructions. If you would like to discuss a repair, alteration, or redesign, please contact our team using the form below with details (and photos, if possible) of your piece.
Step 2: Expert Risk Assessment
Every piece of jewellery - especially if it is antique, fragile, or has been previously repaired by another workshop -has its own unique history. Prior resizing, hidden structural weaknesses, stone treatments, or unknown metal alloys can affect how a piece responds to heat and restoration.
Before we begin work, our master craftsmen will carry out a thorough professional evaluation. If we identify any material risks to your gemstones or settings, we will always explain them to you clearly upfront. If we believe a piece is too fragile to safely undergo a process, we will advise you honestly and discuss alternative ways to preserve it.
International Specialist Services Work
While we predominantly service jewellery within the United Kingdom, we can accommodate repair and resizing requests from our international clients living abroad by prior agreement.
Because moving existing jewellery across international borders involves complex customs tracking, insurance, and tax documentation, all non-UK service commissions are handled on a case-by-case basis. If we accept your international service request, your personalised quote will clearly outline the service work, fully insured two-way shipping, customs paperwork handling fees, and any applicable duties or local carrier taxes.
